P.S. Im an Insta-Faker....
Class really got me thinking about how most social media is
a frozen image of a false reality. I never realized how much I “lie” on the
internet. Some may view it as an inner truth or desire. However, I live about 88% of my Facebook. Lets
start with my profile image… Can you say filtered? It’s the third times a charm of the same
image. Next is my family… Only 3 of the
people are actual blood relatives. I have
no clue who have of my friends are. I don’t really know if I want to know. My
favorite music and artist are not even amongst the ones listed. My post are
what I hope my life to look like. and don’t let me get started on my Instagram.
So many poses of unreal moments.
But its
crazy.. I love it! I love my “fake” portrayal
of my life. I love stopping mid stride to
snap a picture. I love writing and
posting statuses that embody my desires for my life. I love living this false
life. If you could call it living at all. I also don’t mind the fact that I may post
something that I hope could become my reality.
The question of the day: Is there a line drawn in the sand
of showing true self on social media and lying… I feel like there is not a line as long as you are ok with facing
the act that you could be faking face.
