But what is it that makes us choose the foods and shows that we do? Perhaps binge watching culture is related to the Culture of Food. With the acceptance of Netflix and other quick access media viewing tools, it seems that having lazy nights in are more acceptable, and with that so too are quick foods (aka unhealthy foods).
If you're spending too much time immersing yourself in a show to even make regular bathroom breaks, it's rare that you'd feel inspired to also spend the time making healthy food choices. The easy access of web viewing for most TV shows means that you can spend more time watching things and less time thinking about things you probably should be doing instead. (Like maybe spending more than 2 minutes in deciding your next meal choice.)
