Binge-watching

One of my semi-recent binge-watching moments occurred during this past Christmas break. I began watching the Scandal on Netflix with my dad. I knew I was hooked by the first two episodes. I sat on my couch for hours. I watched one episode after another. If I had to use the restroom, I would run there and back because I just could not wait any longer. When it was dinner time, and my mom would make me come eat with the family, I would have a hard time conversing because all I could think about what was going to happen next in Scandal. I even went as far as telling my dad a little white lie because I felt bad that I watched more episodes after he went to bed, or went to work, or did other household chores (he got on me once because I watched an episode without him, hence the white lie). I would re-watch episodes with him so he “would not know” that I watched ahead again (he knew though..I am a horrible liar, even if it is just a white lie). We ended up finishing all of season one and two on Netflix over break. I probably finished it within 2-3 days, but I did re-watch quite a few episodes. Season 3 began back in October 2013, but was not on Netflix yet, so we talked about waiting until it was so we could watch them together again, but I could not. I just could not wait. As soon as I got back to school, I found the episodes on the internet and began watching. I am currently all caught up, which is kind of unfortunate because now I have to wait a week in between each episode, but it is also a good thing because it gives me time to get other things accomplished, like school (which is clearly more important).
