"Reality" TV

After watching so many fictional TV shows, the appearance of reality TV really attract me a lot. Different from the scenarios that have been designed, there are no scripts for the participants of reality TV to follow, so a lot of actual reactions are presented on TV. I like the characteristic of reality in the show, and some times I even want to connect myself if I was a participant show there. However, in my opinion, not all reality TVs is extremely real, especially represented on the participation of famous people.

I have been watched a Chinese reality TV which is called “two day and three nights”, and the participants are all famous people, like singers and movie actors. Broadly speaking, this is a good show that represents famous people many details that we don’t know before by following shot, and makes audiences know the different aspect of those people. But when famous people get involved in the reality TV show, I think the show will not be really “real” when people watch it. There are might be many interesting b-roll when they filmed, but thinking about the figure of famous people that in general occasion, those are shots might be cut. Thus, famous people participating in the reality TV is more like a method to improve the audience rating, and doesn’t make awesome reaction for the reality TV.

Thus, I think common people who get involved in the reality TV show are more real, because they don’t have too much limitation when they presents in front of camera.
