Why I Hate Mainstream News Media and its Part in Politics

Look part of me is really into politics mostly because it affects our lives whether we like it or not. However, with the political bias of most mainstream news stations, predominantly FOX and CNN, it has caused me to view broadcast media as being the source of America’s downfall.

As people know we have had a bipartisan system of government for a long time, however in the past the two parties have been able to put their difference in opinions aside in order to accomplish necessary tasks.  At this point any college student understands how to work in a group, even if you do not get along all the time you manage to come together for the sake of success.  Why is it that we are capable of working together while our representatives cannot?  I argue that it is because of our media.

Stations like FOX and CNN claim to be unbiased, but any educated American should be able to look at their reports and spot the inconsistencies in statistics, and spin on stories, and realize otherwise.  However, the Americans that look at the situation and question their intentions are not the concern of these stations.  Rather, similar to stations producing Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and other shows, they feed off of Americans that cannot see the underlying bullshit that they portray as fact.
In truth I recognize the benefits that media can have in educating, and communicating to people around the world. However, for now they are using their influence to separate citizens that all identify themselves as Americans.  I ask that you really take the time to think about what I have said, for months I have spent my down time philosophizing over the politics and the role that media plays.  In truth we need to realize that political parties are as manipulative and trash ridden as mainstream media. And the only thing that both these entities will accomplish is the divide and destruction of Americans by taking advantage of the stereotypes of social classes, genders and races that they have created.
