Episode after episode
Netflix has become a part of our daily routine. Wake up, get ready, go to class, go to bed, repeat... you know the drill. But recently all of our favorite shows have come together (online) to destroy our lives and our GPAs, and yet we are totally addicted.
When I'm in Bracken I notice students working on papers on one computer and watching an episode of their "Netflix Addiction" on another. I can't judge, I'm guilty of it too. In fact, I'm writing this blog while Netflix is on the corner of my screen.
Seasons come in one at a time, but the entire season is up all at once. My advice is to wait to watch a series until its officially over. Because having a crazy-addictive-binge-watching
show just end, forcing you to wait months for the next season. (Unless you watch new episodes on TV or catch up on Hulu of course.)
That way you can watch episode after episode, season after season in no time. Just don't forget about school, work, studying and your social life, cause "Just one more episode" can turn into two in just fifteen seconds.
But eventually all shows must end, so it's smart to have another show to tune-into, or as I like to call it, a rebound show. After a series finale we feel as though a chapter of our lives is over, so before that "break-up" like depression find a new show to fill the void and keep the rebounds coming after that.
After all, if Netflix is all you do, a show ending might be the closest feeling to a relationship breakup you're ever going to get.
