But things is changing. When I was in high school, it was my first time to know someone was homosexual. She was in the same grade with me. I knew that girl before I knew she was a lesbian. She was cute, popular and good at singing. I still had a good impression of her after I knew she was lesbian. And so did other people. No one hurt her because she was different. In fact, she didn't seem different than other people. The fact that she was a lesbian didn't change people's attitude on her. People still treated her friendly.
We, as the new generation, is different from the older generation. We are more open and willing to accept something unfamiliar or different. Maybe some people are still uncomfortable with homosexual people. But the important thing is that more and more people are willing to know the world of homosexual, to listen to them, to respect them. This is a good development in human history. And I hope the number of hate crime of gay will become zero at some day.
