Honestly, I think the viewers are just as responsible as the show is for allowing the ignorance or stereotypical slurs to become reality. I think that the viewers have to keep their real lives and entertainment separate. There can be entertainment in real life but entertainment is NOT real life. It is fixed and rigged to makes viewers more intrigued or convinced. It's designed to draw a audience, however possible. Those watching just have to be more rational about separating real from acting. Allowing yourself to believe reality TV is all real, gives for more of an addictive feeling rather than entertainment. The feeling of need to watch it is present rather than a feeling of want. These are my thoughts about reality TV.
