Reallity TV Exploits Women, Minors, and Children

At this point, we all know that reality TV can have negative (and positive) effects on how we view one another, and our culture at large. Many of these shows are actually considered exploitive. They exploit women, minors, children, lower-class people, etc. Are there any shows in particular coming to mind yet?
- Honey Boo Boo exploits "lower class"people and Southerners
- Toddlers & Tiaras exploits children (particularly girls)
- Real Housewives exploits women
- Any dating show can exploit men & women
- And the list goes on and on, and on...
These types of shows pose many dangers and present unrealistic standards for what life is like for these people or people living in similar conditions. Some people think reality TV is all fun & games, but it's not. There are plenty of statistics showing the impacts that TV in general has on our psyches, and "reality" TV may be even more dangerous, because viewers think it's real and attainable, when it's most likely not. Like I mentioned in one of my posts before, we must be more selective in our TV choices and send a message to TV producers that we aren't willing to watch people being exploited for our amusement & entertainment.
