College is all about studying, hanging out with your best
friends, NAPPING, and a lot of free time.
So what better way to kill that time than by mindlessly watching
television? Thankfully, Netflix
understands our need and they cater to it.
My sister has had a Netflix subscription for years and I
never truly utilized what she way paying for until recently. I somehow scammed my way into getting her
password and I was living it up. I
started watching SVU: Law and Order, Arrow, and the list goes on but then as
all good things come to an end so did this.
My sister canceled her Netflix subscription to try Hulu Plus… and sadly
our relationship has never been the same.
She really left me in quite a pickle because I had yet to watch Orange
is the New Black. However, do not fret
because Netflix gave us a month until our (note I call it our) subscription had
officially ended.
Believe me I took that last month as a challenge and partook
in some extreme binge watching. My every
minute revolved around watching Orange is the New Black and I took my addiction
quite seriously. I am sure everybody has
seen the show or at least heard about it but let me just tell you that it is
easily one of the best shows. It has so
many different dynamics and it addresses many current social issues.
I know Stevie is going to hit on a lot of the plot in our
next lecture and I cannot wait to hear his opinion. I think that Orange is the New Black is a
cultural breakthrough and the plot is so obscure that you cannot instantly fall
in love. Unfortunately, our subscription
is officially over and I will not be able to watch Season 2, which is a sad
reality I must face daily. I would not
wish my bad luck upon anybody and if you are like my sister and think that
switching to Hulu Plus is a good idea, YOU ARE WRONG!
