Today, my group and
I have decided to do our group project on........*drum roll* B*TCH WIVES!!! We
decided to focus on what’s her name from Breaking Bad. I decided to watch a
couple clips of the show on YouTube and noticed that yes, she was
bit...complaining, but she needed to! Sometimes, as a woman, you have to voice
your opinion and it may come off as “bitc...complain-y”. The wife reminds me of
Mellie Fitzgerald from Scandal.
Mellie Fitzgerald is
the wife and first lady of the President of the United States on the show.
Grant Fitzgerald, the President, is having an affair with Olivia Pope and
Mellie deals with and complains about it all the time. The show makes her out
to be this nagging, complaining and bitter wife when in reality, her husband is
creeping on her and for the sake of the country, she keeps her mouth shut and
smiles for the camera. Mellie just wants her husband back! Now, of course,
there’s something deeper there, but still the fact remains that it is something
that her husband is doing wrong that causes them both to feel compelled to let
it out!!!
