My Past Binge-Watching Experiences

I don't usually watch much T.V., but when I do, I prefer to watch shows on Netflix (Most interesting man in the world voice). The brilliant creation of television shows that have been put on Netflix such as Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead used to pull me into spending hours in front of the screen. With Breaking Bad in particular, I used to be able to finish a season in just one or two days and it made me think about the choices I was making.
I guess it doesn't help that Netflix starts the next episode right after the previous one finishes. The reason why I could not finish a season in one day at times, even though my binge-watching consisted of multiple episodes in one sitting, was because I was aware of how much time I was wasting. I knew that I had to get off the couch for a couple hours and do something active rather than running to make quick meals and becoming too lazy. The only form of exercise while watching these shows came from pressing the pause button on the remote when I needed to do something very quickly. Even though I would leave for a short time, there was no question that I was going back to my "man-cave" to finish up on each season. I learned my lesson after a while that there is more to life than rushing to finish series of shows on Netflix and as a result, I hardly watch much Netflix anymore. While being at college, I sometimes decide to start a new show here and there, but it may take me a couple months to finish it. I just do not get caught up anymore in this binge-watching trick that Netflix is still capable of playing with viewers.
